    Bates Cemetery, Cape Vincent, Jefferson, New York, U.S.A.

    Notes: The Bates Cemetery is located on County Route 6 about two miles south of Cape Vincent in Jefferson County, New York. In 2001, the cemetery is located on land owned by Fred Pond. You must ask permission before entering the cemetery. You can find their phone number and address in the phone book.

    Directions: From Cape Vincent, go south on County Route 6 (also known as Pleasant Valley Road). The Pond house is on the right side of the road, and the cemetery is a couple hundred yards farther south on the left side of the road.

    The Bates Cemetery is not marked, but it is visible from the road. The cemetery is fenced and contains about two dozen plots, mainly of the Bates family.
