Apparently died in childbirth (with the child as well).
Holt family sources report that Lucy Jane Dodson, the first wife of Calvin Lea Holt, died in childbirth. If correct, and if her last child was Herbert E. Holt, shed died c. 1908. The only known image of her is a portrait done by an itinerant artist, which is in the possession of her granddaughter.
