      Shown on the 1860 Census VA Halifax HH/FAM 781/762 In this household immediately adjacent to 778/784 (William Carter & family) we find Nannie Carter 20, and Richard Carter 9, living with Henry Laws family. Speculation that Nannie and Richard are also the children of William and Elizabeth Carter who live next door.
