      Lee Bernice Reynolds was a farmer, merchant and a master wood worker. His mother, Matilda Collins Reynolds died when he was nine and his Grandmother, Nellie Kendrick Reynolds, raised him. He owned and operated a farm in the northern part of Pittsylvania County, Worlds Community. He also owned and operated Lee B. Reynolds grocery store from 1933 until his death, afterwhich Katherine ran it until her seventy-second year. For fifty-three years, the store served the community. He often furnished food to families who had fallen on hard times.
      Lee also made coffins for the state as well as for people in Pittsylvania County, Franklin County, and for many years he owned a black smith shop as well as a saw mill on the farm. He was active in the community and concerned with political events and encouraged family members to participate in the voting process. His daughter, Ann Marie Reynolds Kendrick Ittner remembers his favorite peach ice cream.

      Lee married Sammye Katherine Clark on 23 Nov 1955 in Bennetsville, South Carolina. Sammye (daughter of William Cuttler Clark and Mattie Fountain Hensley) was born on 16 May 1914 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia; died on 09 Feb 1997 in Worlds, Pittsylvania County, Virginia; was buried in Lee Bernice Reynolds Farm Rt. 969 Worlds, Callands.
