MEBANE - Mattie Lee Reeves Cole, 90, of 6710 US 70 W, Mebane, NC went to be with her lord and savior on Monday, August 30, 2010. She was born in Halifax County and retired from Southerland Hosiery and J-Lin Hosiery Mills. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mebane. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Louise Cole, of Mebane, formerly of Winston Salem; and two sisters, Elsie Arendall of Halifax Va. And Alice Wells of Gibsonville NC. She was preceded in death by her parents; William Thomas Reeves and Minnie Lee Carter Reeves; husband, Arthur W. Cole; Sisters, Annie Duling and Willie Puryear; Brother, Owen Thomas Reeves; Sister in Law, Lelia F. Reeves and brother in laws, Marion Duling, Oliver Arendall, Maynard Wells and Stephen Puryear. A graveside funeral will be held on Wednesday September 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., at Halifax Memorial Gardens in South Boston, Va. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane on Tuesday, August 31, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. and other times at the home of daughter, Margaret Cole, 1603 St. Andrews Dr. Mebane NC Condolences can be sent online at www. mcclurefuneralservice.net.
