Nannie Rowland was my first husband's grandmother. He called her Nan-Nan. Jack's memory of his grandmother, was that if one remarked of how well she looked, she would not speak to you for a week.

Nannie Gillette Rowland graduated from Greenville Female College in 1901. She married and produced two daughters. Sara, her second daughter, was my mother-in-law. Her middle name was discovered in the year-book of alma mater. Her grandson, Jack never knew her middle name, before the discovery of her year-book.
