        son of Turner Carter and Martha R. Kirby, she was the daughter of Meads A Kirby and Sarah "Sally" C Word.
        Richard married Nannie R. (maybe Richardson), they had 1)Lewis G. b/1892 m/8 Oct 1919 Sallie B. Perkins, daughter of James R and Lena Farmer Perkins.Their 2 known children are: Richard A. b/1923 and Robert H. b/1924, 2)Lillie Maud b/1895 m/ Louis Archer Chaney, 3) Sallie Fannie b/1899 m/Robert Lee Linens.


        Turner and Martha Carter's daughter Sallie J married Charles W. Dickson/Dixon. They are my great grandparents.

To son Joseph my smiths tools. To son Richard my copper kittle. To son William my large iron pott. The rest of my personal estate to be equally divided between my three sons Joseph, Richard & William Kirby. If either of sd sons die before they come of age 21 yrs: the surviving brothers to divide the land & other bequeathed items. .
