- In this Deed he gave his son, Joseph, all his property, with two or three reservations, on condition that the son would pay to the other children (not named) certain potions previously agreed upon. In this agreement he reserved "a room in my house for my daughter Ellinor, so long as she remains single". He also gave "a feather bed, and a cupboard in the chamber, to my granddaughter, Sarah Patch"; and another feather bed "to Dinah Foster, of Ipswich, the granddaughter of my last wife." Two witnesses of this Deed were Abigail Edwards and Esther E. Tarbox. (Essex Deeds Bk 61, p. 261 according to the article in NEHGS Register - "The Edwards Family"].
