- Amarilla was the daughter of Elijah Peck and Sarah Bradley. They had moved to Mount Holly from New Haven, CT and Elijah continued his work as a blacksmith. Amarilla's gr, gr, gr-grandfather, Henry Peck, was one of the original settlers of New Haven, CT coming there by June 1639 from England. Many of her other ancestors were also among the earliest settlers of New Haven Colony, also coming from England in the 1630s.
- In some histories, Amarilla is listed as being born in Cheshire which is also in New Haven County, CT.

- maryabbywhite.FTW] Elijah and Sarah had nine children: three boys and six girls. Two of their daughters, Lue and Harriet, also died in 1805, the same year as their parents and are buried with them in the Old Mechanicsville Cemetary.

- There was a Dan Peck who was active in the Mount Holly Congregational Church , trying to keep it together after the minister left, until he himself left, about 1851. Dan Peck may have been a relative of Amarilla's. Or they may have been married in the Baptist Church. The records don't say.
No maarrriage record has been found in the Mount Holly records. The date is approximate, based on about a year before the birth of their first child.
