Will of Elizabeth Carter,Relict of Theodorick Carter was written July 8,1747 her son John Carter,Whole and Sole executor;witnessed by Hannah Morgan and Theodorick Carter,Mark Clarke. recorded in book of deeds,wills,etc. 1750--1767,p.97 the first monday in 1751. Henrico co. va.To son Theodorick Carter,6 head of cattle,great Bible and White Mare.To daughter Anne Ferris 4 head of cattle,4 sheep 1 mirror and 1 chest.To daughter Elizabeth Martin Items and Livestock.To daughter Susannah Scruggs same.To daughter Martha Garthright same.To daughter Mary Sough(?)same.To grandson Cuthbert Webb,livestock recorded dec. 1751.I am sure this is not the exact wording of the will I am going on the information I have from Jean young Fish and the Richard Ferris History of whoom Richard Ferris that married Ann Bland dauhter to Richard Bland and his wife Elizabeth Randolph daughter of william randolph and Mary Isham.This site is at http://www.oedgs.com/ferrerrichardfarrarjrstory.htm The information From Jean Young Fish came from a 500+page book on Giles Carter and relatives That were from Halifax co. va. that migrated through various states and ended up around Lagrange Fayette co. texas. Childen of Richard bland and Elizabeth Randolph listed in it are Richard,Theodorick,Elizabeth married to a martin,Anne married to a Ferris,Susannah married to a Scruggs and Martha Married to Ephriam Garthright.Children to Elizabeth Randolph and Theodrick Carter it list's are Theodrick Carter married to Anne Waddill,John married to Elizabeth and Mary married To A Scruggs.Their Is no mention of Hannah Carter married to John Webb which would explain Cuthbert webb's name in the will.This information can be seen at the Fayette Heritage Museum & archives in Lagrange Texas email library@Fais.net it will be in the Archive Holdings
