His wife is shown as being between 30 and 40. These entries are believed to be her sister, Judith's children; (Judith died around the time of 1828 after the birth of her son, James Andrew. James Andrew was left property by Levi and Ann along with his sister Susan (also James & Judith's child).

Levi Jackson married Ann Emmerson sister of Judith who married his brother James Samuel. It appears that Levi and Ann did not have their own children, but raised Judith's for a time, after her death. Levi's Will drawn 16 Aug 1833 Pittsylvania Will Book 1, page 255, and probated 16 Dec 1833 leaves one-half of his estate be divided equally between Judith's children Susan Martin Jackson and James Andrew Jackson provided they remain with Ann until they come of age or marry and each to pay to Sally W. Dunn daughter of Matthew Dunn $50. Land to James A. Jackson son of James and (Judith Emmerson) after death of wife Ann Emmerson)...etc
Judith Emmerson died around 1828-32 (James remarried in 1833) and Levi Jackson died 1833. I seems that she did not remarry.
