News: Looking for females who are in the pure female lines (mother to daughter) from William and Sarah who are willing to do an mtDNA test. Such a person would be descended along an all female line from Mary DEVIN Biggers or Margaret DEVIN Reynolds. The hope is to identify the markers for Sarah SMITH Devin to help identify her parents. Contact the webmaster if interested.

Devin descendant, Stanley Wayne Devin, passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 4, 2014. He was the last living child of Ira & Oleta Devin.

    Generations:      Standard    |    Vertical    |    Compact    |    Box    |    Text    |    Ahnentafel    |    Fan Chart    |    Media    |    PDF

    Generation: 1

    1. 1.  Catherine Aaron was born in c1758 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania (daughter of Abraham Aaron).

Catherine married John Whitmell on 25 Jul 1778 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. John was born about 1753 in Prob. Lancaster, PA. [Group Sheet]

    Generation: 2

    1. 2.  Abraham Aaron was born in 1734 in Lancaster Co., PA; died in 1818 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.

      Notes:

JACOB1 AARON was born about 1709. He married CATHERINE.
Jacob Aaron and Catherine had the following children:
      2. i. ABRAHAM2 ARON SR was born in 1732 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA. He died
about 1815 in Pittsylvania, Virginia, USA. He married (1) PHILPOTT about 1755 in
Pittsylvania, Virginia, USA. She was born about 1740. She died in 1765. He married
      (2) JUDITH DILL in 1772 in Pittsylvania, Virginia, USA. She was born about 1752.
ii. GEORGE AARON was born about 1735.
iii. DANIEL AARON was born about 1736.

Abraham may be the son of Jacob Aaron and Catherine, his wife. However, no primary documentation has been found to support this relationship.

There were two Aaron men contemporary with Abraham in Virginia: William and Daniel Aaron. A DNA analysis has proven no relationship between these men and Abraham. I do not know if the Daniel given as a brother to Abraham is the same Daniel found in VA but there was not a DNA match even at the 25 marker level.
