      Children:
      1. Olivia Patch was born in 1824 in Wallingford, Rutland, Vermont U.S.A.; died on 06 May 1879 in Auroraville, Waushara, Wisconsin U.S.A.; was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Aurora, Wisconsin U.S.A..

      Notes:

Served as a private in Capt. Warrens Co. Brooks Regiment. His brother, 10/31/1776. Jacob carried his wounded brother by horse litter some 200 (rest of note lost). Jacob's sudden death was caused by the wheels of a loaded wagon going over his body and was found dying about 15 minutes after the accident by his son Zara.

This is most likely the Jacob in Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary Patiots, Vol. 3, Serial 11912, Volume 4 in unknown cem in Groton MA (55). Also the one in Massachusetts Army & Navy, the Revolution, 17 Vols, Volume 11, Patch, Jaco****, Groton.Corporal, Capt. Josiah Sartell's co., which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775, to headquarters at Cambridge; service, 15 days; also, Private, Capt. Thomas Warrin's co., Col. Brooks's regt.; company return dated Oct. 31, 1776, and endorsed “White Plains;” reported as having been sent with the wounded.

      An alternate listing give b. 11 Jul 1749, d. 31 Dec 1776.

A questionable listing also included an additional child, Sally.

Jacob married Mary Hazen on 09 Jan 1772 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts. Mary (daughter of Benjamin Hazen and Betty Nutting) was born on 28 Apr 1743 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts; died on 28 Aug 1828 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet]

The Article "The Hazen Fam. - Four Generations in America" says she died 28 AUG 1828.

      Notes:

Jacob and Mary had seven children older than Edmund: four other boys and three girls. Their oldest son, David, moved to Camden, ME and another son died in Canada.

      Notes:

An alternate birth date in our record is 7 Sep 1719 and m. 14 Jun 1746. B. date verified in Mass. Town Birth Records but has on Sep. 1719.

The following addtional information was obtained from Vicki Van Camp.

Stephen later married Jane Cobb Kysar, widow of Frederick Kysar on 28 Feb 1858 following the death of Achsah Kidder Patch. Ebenezer married Sarah Wright on 04 Jun 1746 in Westford, Middlesex, Massachusetts. Sarah (daughter of Jacob Wright and Abigail Harwood) was born on 03 Apr 1730 in Westford, Middlesex, Massachusetts; died on 12 Jun 1793 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts U.S.A.. [Group Sheet]

      Notes:

An alternate listing gives death date as 12 Jun 1773.

      Notes:

Ebenezer and Sarah had twelve childtren in all, with Jacob being the second after his brother, Peter. Another son, Benjamin, moved to Ludlow, VT about 1787. Ludlow is fairly close to Mount Holly, VTand Olivia could have been staying with relatives there when she met Darwin White.

      Children:
      1. 2. Jacob Patch was born on 05 Apr 1747 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts; died on 22 Dec 1818 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts U.S.A..

      Notes:

Benjamin was the 3rd son of 5. He also had a twin sister, Hephzibah and an older and younger sister as well. His twin sister also lived to adulthood. Often one or both of a set of twins died young in those days.
His will was probated 20 Oct 1753.

    Generation: 4

    1. 8.  Isaac Patch was born in 1682 in Wenham, Essex, Massachusetts (son of Thomas Patch and Mary Scott); died on 12 Jul 1762 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts.

      Notes:

      [maryabwhiteanc.ged]

Isaac lived in Newton, Medford, Concord and Groton, MA.

The record gives an alternate birth location as Salem, Mass. Genealogical Dictionary of Frst Settlers of New England pub. by Jeritage Books, Inc. lists Isaac was of Groton. Apparently after he married Edith, lived in Newton. Also AP # 479. Lived in Newton, Medford, Concord and Groton, MA. Alt rec. give m. 10 Mar 1708/1709. Apparently these and most records have come from pages 198-199 of the NEHGR (New England History and Genealogy Register), Vol. 56, 1902.

This record and others had a son Jonathan (404) that apparently was not Isaac's son, but rather the son of a Benjamin and Sarah Patch, who were not in the records. The have been added and Jonathan relocated based on the extended research and note attached to the Jonathan record (404).

Isaac married Edith Edwards on 10 Mar 1708/09 in Wenham/Beverly, Essex, Massachusetts. Edith (daughter of Thomas Edwards and Sarah) was born about 1692 in Essex County, Massachusetts; died in in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet]

    2. 9.  Edith Edwards was born about 1692 in Essex County, Massachusetts (daughter of Thomas Edwards and Sarah); died in in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts.

      Notes:

Isaac died in Groton and Edith probably did also.

      Children:
      1. Sarah Patch was born in 1711 in Essex County, Massachusetts.
      2. 4. Ebenezer Patch was born on 07 Sep 1719 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts; died on 19 Jan 1777 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts.

    3. 10.  Jacob Wright was born on 21 Jan 1697/98 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts (son of John Wright and Mary Stevens); died on 25 Nov 1761 in Westford, Middlesex, Massachusetts.

Jacob married Abigail Harwood. Abigail (daughter of James Harwood and Lidiah Barrett) was born on 18 May 1699 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts; died on 30 Nov 1761 in Westford, Middlesex, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet]

    4. 11.  Abigail Harwood was born on 18 May 1699 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts (daughter of James Harwood and Lidiah Barrett); died on 30 Nov 1761 in Westford, Middlesex, Massachusetts.

      Notes:

[maryabwhiteanc.ged]Jacob Wright's wife may have been Abigail Warren instead.

Ancestral File has Abigial Harwood rather than Abigail Warren, and has Abigail Waren as Jacob's grandmother, married to John Wright the 3rd.

      Children:
      1. 5. Sarah Wright was born on 03 Apr 1730 in Westford, Middlesex, Massachusetts; died on 12 Jun 1793 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts U.S.A..

    5. 12.  Edward Hazen, Jr. was born on 10 Sep 1660 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts (son of Edward Hazen, Sr. and Hannah Grant); died about Nov 1748 in Boxford, Essex, Massachusetts.

      Notes:

Edward and his wife Joan were received into the church in Rowley on 26 Jul 1691. They removed to Boxford, probably after his brother Thomas went to Norwich, CT, which was about 1685. Edward's eight children were born in Rowley, the last beig baptised there in Jan 1704, so they must not have removed to Boxford until then.

Edward married Jane Pickard on 16 Nov 1694 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts. Jane (daughter of John Pickard and Jane Crosby) was born on 22 Apr 1666 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts; died after 1748 in Boxford, Essex, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet]

    6. 13.  Jane Pickard was born on 22 Apr 1666 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts (daughter of John Pickard and Jane Crosby); died after 1748 in Boxford, Essex, Massachusetts.

      Notes:

They had eight children who were all born in Rowley: Jane, Edward, John, Benjamin & Hephzibah (twins), Samuel, Israel, and Hannah.

      Children:
      1. 6. Benjamin Hazen was born on 17 Feb 1694/95 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts; died on 18 Sep 1755 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts.

    7. 14.  Daniel Nutting was born about 1691 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts (son of John Nutting, Jr. and Mary Lakin); died on 07 Aug 1756 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts.

Daniel married Hannah about 1713 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet]

    8. 15.  Hannah

      Notes:

Marriage records for the time that they were married have been lost, so it is unknown what Hannah's surname might have been. Their first child, of their six, was born in 1714, so they were probably married around 1713.

      Children:
      1. Daniel Nutting was born on 10 Jul 1716 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts.
      2. 7. Betty Nutting was born on 20 Mar 1717/18 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts; died in 1799 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts.
