Love to have new information about my Powells of Caswell. I think Jerald Powell who married the daughter of Mastin Powell is the son of my James McDonald Powell and not HER uncle as many state. I think that is a ridiculous assertion! James M. Powell's daughter married a Fitzgerald and both parents died. James raised the 3 Fitzgerald children. I think he named a son Fitzgerald and the fitz was dropped. Jerald Powell was born about the time the Fitzgerald's died. They had a mill in Caswell Co, NC.

Elizabeth married Jarrold Powell on 23 Dec 1816 in Halifax County, Virginia U.S.A.. Jarrold died in 1838 in Caswell County, North Carolina. [Group Sheet]
