      Notes:

      He received his father's land in Charlestown, which he left to his only son, John. His 4 daughters received portions of the personal property. In his will he left 1/2 of his estate to his widow, Dorothy, and 1/2 to John.
      On 21 Feb 1722/23 Mark and Elizabeth White quit-claimed their rights to some land near Andover, Reading, and Woburn to her brother, John Mousall, that she had inheirited from her father's Estate. This land had origianally belonged to Deacon Ralph Mousall of Charlestown, John's grandfather and the original settler.

      John married Dorothy Hett on 01 Jul 1691 in Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts.       Notes:

      "Ralph Mousall and Alice his wife" admitted to Boston church as members #72 and #73, which would be in the winter of 1630/1. On 14 Oct 1632 "Raph Mousall and Alice his wife" dismissed to the church at Charlestown. They were admitted to Charlestown chuch as founding members, 2 Nov 1632. He was Deacon of Charlestown church from his death record, but was probably one for many years before. He was admitted as a Freeman 18 May 1631. He was Charlestown deputy to the General Court in 1636 and 1651. He was also chosed for that office in 1638, but not seated. He was also a
      Commissioner for repair of the prison house in 1651 and to end small causes at Charlestown in 1655. He had a share of 3 in the hayground, increased to 4; and had 5 acres on the Mystic Side in Charlestown in 1637. He received parcels of 15, 40, and 5 acres 23 Apr 1638 in the Mystic Side Allotments of 23 Apr 1638. He had 4 1/4 cow commons on 30 Dec 1638. In the 1638 Charlestown Book of Possessions "Ralph Moussell" held 8 parcels of land: 4 1/2 acres in High Field, with "a dwelling house and other appurtenances thereunto"; 5 roods of arable land in High Field (later annotated as sold to Robert Leach); 5 acres hay ground and pasture in High Field; 41/2 milch cow commons; 1 acre meadow in High Field Marsh; 5 acres woodland in Mystic Marshes (later
      annotated as sold to Peter Tufts); 15 acres woodland in Mystic Field; and 50 acres in Water Field. On 8 Dec 1648 Ralph "Mowshole" sold to George Fowle "all the housing and the garden ground (which the said Mowshole formerly built and dwelt in by the way to the penny ferry) and 2 cow commons and 1 haylot, with 1 acre of field in exchange for Fowle maintaining their common fence and L50. In 1649 he sold 1 acre of arable
      land to Robert Leach.
      In his will, dated 13 Apr 1656 (with codicil dated 28 Apr 1656) and proved 23 Jun 1656, Ralph Mousall of Charlestown bequethed "to my son John Mousall L200 whereof I have given him already L140, the other L60 to be paid him after the decease of my wife Ales Mousall," these payments to be in land; to "my son Thomas the house he doth now dwell in and yards & backsides"; to "my daughters Elizabeth Mousall and to Mary Mousall,' L3 apiece; to "my brother John Mousall" 20s.; to my daughter Ruth Wood L20; to "my daughter Mary Gove L15 at age eighteen"; to "my cousin Nathaniel Ball and to my cousin Mary Waine" L4 apiece; to Thomas Osbourne d40s.; to William Crouch 40s.; to William Streeter 20s.; to Widow Stubs 30s.; to "my dear friend and countrywoman Mrs. Greene" 20s.; to "my dear and loving wife Ales Mousall" all lands for life and then to my two sons, she to be executrix and residuary legatee; to "loving friends Mr. Richard Russell, Thomas Linde and Robert Hale, overseers"; to Robert Hale L5. In the codicil of 28 Apr 1656 Mousall stated that "god hving by his good grace given to my son Thomas Mousall a young son" I bequeath him L50 at age 20.[from Migrations Early Settlers] .
      The inventory of the estate of "Deacon Ralph Mousall of Charlestowne" was taken 30 May 1656 and totalled L872 - 14s. of witch L450 was real estate. [MPR #15622] None of the 4 "daughters" named by Ralph Mousall in his will was born to him and his wife Alice; two of them, Elizabeth and Mary, were his daughters-in-law, married to his sons John and Thomas, and the other two, Ruth Wood and Mary Gove, were wards of the Mousall family, taken in to raise by aggreement with members of the Wood and Gove families.

      The inventory of Alice Mousall, taken 4 Feb 1674/5, totalled L335 18s. 2d., including L292 in real estate: "a house, barn and orchard and 20 acres of plowland, pasture and meadow with the fencing belonging to it," L200; two divisions of a woodlot on Mistickside," L20; and 12 cow commons and 3/4 of a common," L72.       Notes:

      Samuel was one of the three noted Richardson brothers who were among the earliest settlers of Woburn, MA. He was second in age of the three, Ezekiel being the eldest, and Thomas, the youngest. He was the last of the three to come to New England. He was executor of his father's will, in England, dated 4 Mar 1630, and inherited his mother's part of his father's estate. He was married before he left West Mill, and two of his children were baptized there--Samuel (1633) and Elizabeth (1635). It was after 1635 that he and Thomas, his brother, sailed for New England. In 1636 he located in Charlestown, but moved to Woburn a few years later. He was a selectman of Woburn, 1644-46 and 1649-1651. His name appears on the first Woburn tax list of 1645. He was one of the signers of Woburn town orders of 1640. He relaesed some land, with his brothers, to the inhabitants of Woburn in 1644, and helped form the first church of Woburn in 1642. His estate was located on the "Richardson Row Road" of early times and an estate known as the Job Miller estate, on present Washington St., in the limits of Winchester is the same property. Job Miller, married to his great-grandson's neice, lived in the house in 1798. The farm contained 50 acres. The family of Samuel's son, Samuel, was attacked by Indians on this farm on 10 Apr 1676, during Philip's war. Samuel's 10 year old son, Thomas, (one of twin sons), his 2nd wife, Hannah, and their infant daughter, Hannah, were all killed.
