      This Indenture made this eighteenth day of November
      in the year of our Lord Christ on thousand Seven hundred and
      Ninety Six Between Alexander Devin, Suekey his wife and William
      Dunn of the County of Pittsylvania of the one part and Edward
      Nunnelee of the County aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth
      that the said Alexander Devin Suekey his Wife & William Dunn
      for and in Consideration of the sum of Sixty pounds Lawfull
      money of Virginia to them or one of them in hand paid and
      Satisfied by the said Edward Nunnelee the Receipt whereof
      the said parties doth hereby acknowledge, hath bargained Sold
      enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these presents doth Absolutely
      give grant bargain Sell, enfeoff and Confirm unto the said
      Edward Nunnelee on Certain Tract or parcell of Land Lying
      and being in the County aforesaid, on the Branches of Banister
      River, Containing two Hundred and thirty six acres by patent
      granted to Nathan Brown, bearing date the 17th day of November
      1789 and Bounded as followeth To Wit, Beginning at the said
      Browns Corner Ash in Abraham Allen's Line on the Chinquepin
      Branch thence along Said Allen's line North Seventy three degrees
      east, fifty two poles to a Red Oak, thence along Matthew's Lines
      South eighteen degrees east Ninety two poles to pointers South
      one hundred and Twenty six poles to a White Oak East Thirty one
      poles to William Easley's Corner White Oak on Robins branch
      and thence along the same Down the said Branch South nine
      Degrees West, two hundred poles to a White Oak Corner, thence
      along William Devins line (formerly Leaks) North thirty
      Degrees West, two hundred and Seventy ^two^ poles crossing the
      Chinquepin Branch to pointers, North Seventy Degrees West Sixty
      four poles to a Spanish oak in the Said Brown former line
      and thence along the same North thirty three degrees east one
      hundred and thirty four poles to a Red Oak, and North thirteen
      Degrees east Seventy poles to the Beginning and the Right
      of them the said Alexander Devin Sueca his Wife & William
      Dunn for themselves their heirs [&] the above granted Tract or
      parcel of Land, with all Improvements, Conveniences profits
      and advantages to it belonging or in any wise appurtaining
      unto the said Edward Nunnelee, his heirs and assigns, will forever
      Warrant Maintain & Defend form the Just Claim or Claims
      of any person or person Whatsoever, Lawfully Claiming or
      pretending to Claim the same and that he the [Same] Edward
      Nunnelee, his heirs assigns [does] hereby allowed by the said
      Alexander Devin, Sueky his Wife and William Dunn to

      of the Witnesses thereto to be the act and Deed of the within
      Named Alexander Devin and was acknowledged by the
      within named William Dunn to be his act & Deed and
      the same was Ordered to be Recorded by the Court

        This tract was granted to Nathan Brown on 17.November.1789 (Grants 22:240) and sold to Alexander Devin on 20.April.1795 (Deed 10:219-220).
      • Abstract (Deed Book 10:525-526): Deed dated 18.November.1796 from Alexander Devin Suekey Devin, and William Dunn to Edward Nunnelee for a 236 acre tract of land on the branches of the Banister River in Pittsylvania County Virgina. Adjacent to Nathan Brown, Abraham Allen, William Easley, and William Devin. Recorded 16.January.1797. Paid Sixty pounds "Lawful money of Virginia."

        4. East 31 poles to William Easley's Corner White Oak on Robins branch
