Know all men by thes presents that we Richd Beck and James Beck - are held and firmly Bound unto george William Smith lieutenant governor of The Common Wealth of Virginia now exercising the func tions of governor and to his sucefsors in the office of Go vernor in the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to which payment Will and truly to be made we bind our selves our heirs Executors and administrators firmly by these presents seald with our seals and dated this 15 day of July - - 1811 The Condition of above obli gation is such that where as there is a marriage depending and suddenly intended to be had and solemnized betwen the above bound Richard B Beck and Lucy Devin daughter of Elizabeth Devin if thierfore their is no lawfull Cause to obstruct the said marriage then the above obligation to be Void else to remain in full force and virtueRichard B.
