June 1831 "Know all men by those presence that I Francis Brandon of the County of Halifax and State of Virginia, for and in consideration of the love and affection which I have for my daughter Catherine Carter and grand-children William F., Eliza A., Thomas O. and Mary Ann Catharine born of my said daughter Catherine Carter. I, the said Francis Brandon do by those presents give and grant unto my said grandchildren W. T., E. A., M.
