Wallace W married 27 Sep 1865, Frances (Fanny) M. BROWN in Lorain Co, OH She was the daughter of Marcellus A and Jane A (KIDNEY) BROWN, both b NY. Wallace "was a Sgt- Co D, 17th OH INF" (Cem Recs)- "In 1862, he enlisted in the 178th OH INF and was assigned to the 23rd Army Corps, under General Schofield, and later under General Cox & Sherman...took part in 2nd battle of Stone River, Shreveport, Kingston, NC, and many less important skirmishes, escaping unhurt." Wallace was listed as a grocer in his biog sheet and his father's obit. In the 1900 census, he is a lamp trimmer for the Electric Light Co.
