Account Current Book 36, page 497, showing the division of Henry Adkins' estate on 4 Aug 1875, lists defendant in a chancery suit brought to settle the estate.) Nancy and Berryman were married on Nov. 16, 1829 with neighbor Noton Jefferson as surety. On 18 Jun 1838, Joseph Reynolds, Sr. sells 50 acres on both sides of Buckhorn Branch of the Tomahaowk to Berryman--"it being the land on which Berryman Reynolds now resides" (DB 41/325) Berryman died before 1850, leaving Nancy with six children to raise.
