In the name of God Amen -- I, James Dobbins of the State of Sout h Carolina and Ditirict of Pendleton, being Some what indifpofe d in Body --- but of Perfect Mind and Memory thanks be Given unt o God.
Calling to mind the Mortality of my Body knowing it is appointe d for all men once to Die -- I do make and appoint or ordain tha t My Last Will and Teftament. Firft of all I give and Recomen d My Soul into the hand of Almighty God that Gave it and my Bod y to the Earth to be intered Deacently at the Difcretion of my E xecutors to be hereafter Named --- As touching My Worldly Eftat e I divife and Difpofe of the Same in the following manner ---fi rft of all after my funeral Expences are paid I order all my Juf t debts to be Paid -- I. Will or Bequeath unto My Dear and Belov ed Wife Elifabeth Dobbins the Land where on I Now Live with al l my other Lands and With all My Perfonal EState I now pofSefa - During her Natural Life or widowhood -- then at her Decease o r Mariage --- I Will and Bequeath unto My Dearly Beloved Son Jam es Dobbins Jur this plantation I Now Live on to him his heirs an d afigns for Ever -- and the Brock horfe and Sadle Bridle and tw o Cows and Caves two Ews and Lams and one Breeding Sow and two G rown hogs and a good Bed and furniture an ax hoe and Matock on e plow and Gears-- then the Ballance of My Land that Lyes Joini ng Wim.
