- Father of William Lee Evans. He married Pamela Jane Packard (spelling
could also be Packer). William Evans and Pamela Jane Packard homesteaded in 1878 four miles North of La Grande, Oregon. They lived there until the time of death. They had nine children. No names of children (execpt for William Lee Evans) is presently known (1993). (Source: letter from Atha Ledford, 1993). William Evans fought in the Civil War on the North side.
