Martha Ann Jackson is the daughter of James Samuel Jackson and Judith Emmerson. Judith Emmerson is the daughter of John Emmerson. Judith Emmerson DOB of 1787 is from an entry in the LDS IGI. She was deceased by Jan 1833 when James Jackson married a second time and two of her younger children were in the household of her sister and brother-in-law Anne Emmerson Jackson and Levi Jackson. James Emmerson mentioned in his fathers's Will. (Pittsylvania Deeds and Wills, book 11, page 496) leaves James (land where he now lives plus $100 to make a full portion)
James Emmerson married Milley Adams, May 15, 1809; Children of James and Millicent are Rebecca, Jabez, Samuel m. Sally Holley, Allen Emmerson m. Darcus Johnson, Elizabeth M. Nathaniel Adams Nancy Emmerson m. Wesley Powell and daughter, Rhoda married Eli Jackson and after his death, his brother Ambrose in 1841. Rhoda died before 1849 when Ambrose married for the third time to Mary Chattin.
