Raymond Franklin Bocock Obituary: The funeral for Ray F. Bocock, 74, of 1018 Morningside Lane, Martinsville, who died Aug. 17, 20004, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry Co., will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be at Roselawn Burial Park with Military honors by the Martinsville and Henry County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. He was born in Henry County on 30 Apr 1930, to Peter Franklin Bocock and Mary Campbell Bocock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Ferguson and Ernestine Bocock. He retired from DuPont after 35 years and served with the Army for two years during the Korean conflict, earning the rank of Master Sergeant. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Barbara E. Bocock of the home; son, Kenneth Ray Bocock, also of the home; daughter, Kathy Anne B. Divers of Winston-Salem, N.C.; three sisters, Edna Campbell, Evelyn Belcher and Nancy Epling, all of Martinsville; four grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorials may be made to the Ruffed Grouse Society, H. C. Edwards Chapter, 59 Birchwood Drive, Staunton, VA. 24401.
