- It appears that this family migrated to Tennessee between 1842 and 1847 shown as the births of his children. One born in Virginia in 1842 and the next born in Tennessee in 1847. This information given shows he married two women in the same year; so I doubt he had more than one wife. It is probably Sarah Vaden of Pittsylvania Co., VA who was his wife. Also he is said to have died in 1860; and then shown as 90 in the household of his son John in 1880 in Tennessee.
- If he is shown on the Weakly Tenn census in 1880, he could not have died in 1860!- Mary Frances Eggleston
