The Will of Harmon Cook was recorded 21 May 1810. His heirs were three sons and three daughters; Abraham, John, Harmon Catherine Wright, Mary Razor and Nancy,w/o Abram Rorer.

She further mentions the Will of Abraham Cooke is recorded in Lunenburg Co. in 1748; (this person must be Harmon Sr.'s brother or father, probably his father as he named his son Abraham.

Additionally she mentions John Cook was appointed captain of the Militia during the years 1767 to 1770. This too must be a brother of Harmon, Sr.

Lastly George Cook is the Shipper of Tobacco to Dan River Warehouse shipped between 22 Sep 1795 and 19 Sep 1796 (one hogshead of tobacco; George also must be a brother or other relative.

4967 See Pittsylvania County, VA Landowners Per 1797 Land Tax: Transcribed by Mary Leigh Boisseau: Lists Hugh Reynolds as owing 2 parcels of land; the first, 105 acres and the second 65 acres. Also Lists Jesse Reynolds (s/o William) as owning 4 parcels of land 104 acres and 3 parcels of 50 acres each. Hugh Reynolds, father of Joseph and William, and husband of Mary Nealey Reynolds, is shown on the land tax records for Pittsylvania Co., VA until 1910. Jesse Reynolds, s/o a William Reynolds bought the land his father, William left to his brothers, Joseph and Richard Cole, in 50 acre parcels in 1794 after the death of this William in 1791.
This Jesse is the son of a William Reynolds who died in 1791, leaving a will naming his children. It is currently speculated by descendants of Jesse, that William Reynolds is Hugh's brother and a second William is a son of Hugh. Further research is being conducted.

IF ANY MALE DESCENDANT OF THIS JESSE REYNOLDS (OF CULPEPPER) WOULD BE WILLING TO CONTRIBUTE DNA PLEASE CONTACT US AT THE SITE ADDRESS.
