Poteats lived closeby (at the end of the now Guthrie Road) and I believe the baby was very young, perhaps stillborn? and they asked permission and it was given." 20 April 2011 Post to the CCHA Facebook Page.

Most of the information on the Devin Diven line came from 14 pages that Pauline prepared and updated in 1974. Bruce Rapacz obtained a copy of this in 2003 from Emma Banks in Fayetteville, AR. This is a cousin of Leona and we visited her in 2004. An extensive researh of the Buchanan line indicates that no connection exists. | Hendrix, Pauline (I6837)

Most sources say that Richard is Edmund's father, but it seems to Diana Gale Matthiesen on her web page: http://dgmweb.net/7/NRoots/FGS/EdmundFaulkner-Dorothy_htm that "the one person who cannot be his father is Richard." According to her research, Francis FAWCONER of Kingscleare makes a bequest to his brother, Edmund FAWCONER "living in New England" and a bequest to his cousin Perter FAWCONER, son of Richard FAWCONER in his will of 1662. That would make Richard as Edmund's uncle (ie. his father's brother) and not his father.
Her web site is well documented and may have the best information on Edmund's father. [2 Jul 2001]
