      County of Pittsylvania



      On this 10th day of April A.D. 1855 personally

      appeared before Me, a justice of the peace, Within and for

      the County and State aforesaid, Nancy Devin aged

      87 Years, a resident of the County and State aforesaid,

      who being duly Sworn according to law, declares that

      She is the Widow of Robert Devin who Served

      in the Company Commanded by Capt. [blank space]

      in the [blank space] Regiment of [blank space]

      Commanded by Col. [blank space] in the War of

      the Revolution declared by the United States

      On the [blank space] day of [blank space] AD [blank

      ]

      and continued in actual Service in Said war

      for [blank space] and was honorably discharged

      at [blank space] on the [blank space] day of [blank
      space
      ] AD

      [blank space] for which Service he was a pensioner

      during his life at the rate of $80 per annum

      and that she Since his death She has been and

      Still receives from the United States like pension.



      She further States that She was married

      to the Said Robert Devin in Pittsylvania County

      [oval] on the 25 day of January A.D. 1791 and that

      her name before her said Marriage was Nancy Parrish

      that her said husband died at his residence on the

      10th day of April A.D. 1834 and that She is now

      a widow.



      She makes this declaration for the purpose of

      obtaining the bounty land to which she may be entitled

      under the Act passed the 3rd day of March 1855.



      She also declares that she has never received or

      applied for bounty land under this or any other

      act of Congress.
