      1. [S67727] Mary Frances Reynolds Eggleston.
        Here's the Working Hypothesis:

        1. Thomas Sr. (1630-1700) & Katherine Dale Carter
        2. James of Stafford (1684-1743) and Hannah Neale [mother Ursula Presley]
        3. Presley Carter S.1. (1720-xxxx) - for his Grand mother
[Richard has to be born before 1745 - so this narrows the possibilities for his father]
        4. Richard of Halifax (ca. 1745-1786) and Frances Unknown * [proposed Grandson of James]
this dating would well fit with the first purchase of 400 acres in 1767 in Halifax ... and ... he names a son Presley *, befitting the tradition for using grand parents, rather than parents.
        * Separately, Frances almost "has" to be a Neale because of the naming of their children.
