Note: The young children in this household are Sally Fannie Green and Martha Sue Green; these are children of James A. Green and Martha Gravitt who do no appear in the Halifax Census for 1860; this census shows Sally Fannie was born in North Carolina; James A. and wife Martha first appear on the Census in Halifax Co in 1870 with siblings Walter, James, Nathaniel, Robert, Mary and Joseph.
