Bessie Edwards, spinster, never married and had no issue. She lived with her her sister-in-law, Mattie Carter Powell after her first husband, Warner L. Powell died and helped take care of the children. She lived with them and other family members for the remainder of her life and is burried in the Powell family plot at Green Hill Cemetery in Danville, Virginia.
