        Anne Jamison Powell

        DANVILLE, Va. - Anne Jamison Powell, 83, of 161 Canterbury Road, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at Roman Eagle Memorial Home. Born Nov. 20, 1918, in Bryan, Texas, she was the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. H.B. Jamison. She was married on Aug. 27, 1941 to A.C. Powell, who survives. She was educated in the Richmond City Schools and was a 1941 graduate of Danville Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for a number of years at the hospital until retirement in 1990. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany and the Wednesday Club. In addition to her husband of Danville, she is survived by a son, A. Carter Powell II of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter, Gayle C. Powell of Danville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Roberta Watson.
        Arrangements are incomplete at this time.
