Marriage 26 Jul 1810 to Mary "Polly" Reynolds d/o Joseph Reynolds and Margaret "Peggy" Devin
~Samuel Blair applied, on Nov. 27, 1856 at age 67, for 160 acres of Bounty Land in Pittsylvania County under Act approved May 14, 1856. He stated that he served in the War of 1812 under the name of Saml Blair, enlisting at Hayme's, Pitt. Co., Va. in U. S. Calvary, Captain Edward Carter's Co., Co. R. Halcomb's Regiment. They marched from Chalk Level on Aug 25, 1814 to Richmond, and were stationed at a place called Mitchell's Spring. He was honorably discharged Sept. 12, 1814. by Christine Reynolds Stone
