1850 VA CENSUS Pittsylvania Co. The Northern District HH/927 shows Sally Reynolds (Philpott) with children Hugh 26, Barton 23, and James 16. Thus Hugh is born around 1824 and was just 7 when his father John Devin Reynolds died, (probably of kidney stones)
Hugh and Barton are shown on this census as not able to read and write.
Hughey Reynolds Family lived in Vashtie and lists Hughy O. Reynolds, Rosa A. Reynolds and yet another Wm. B. Reynolds (we do not yet know who his wife is)
