Emmerson, October 27, 1978 can be seen at Virginia Genealogical Society, Richmond, Virginia 23211: Henry Samuel Emerson s/o Burwell Samuel Emmerson and Virginia Simmons Emmerson. Henry married 3 times; Tempy Price 2 Dec 1877, Mary Pace 18 Jul 1886, and Josephine Walton 28 Dec 1892; Children are Charles 1879, Lottie 1894, Bertha A. 1895 and Hughes R., b. 1896.
Craig Emmerson author, says "I am very unsure of the placement of this Henry Emmerson. He gives Jane Emmerson as his mother in each of his marriages. The only line that this would fit would be the William Emmerson that married Jane Herndon. On one in that line has mentioned or knows of this Henry. It is possible that he was living with Jane Padron Emmerson, third wife of Henry Emmerson, Sr. I know that she survived Henry, Sr., his son Burwell, and quite possibly Virginia Simmons Emmerson.
